- Identify a = 1, b = −5 and c = 6.
- Compute Δ = b² − 4ac = 25 − 24 = 1.
- Use x = (−b ± √Δ)/(2a) to get x = 2 or x = 3.
- Substitute: 4 − 10 + 6 = 0 and 9 − 15 + 6 = 0.
